Candice Koseba is a beekeeper, herbalist, and educator based in Healdsburg, California. Her journey with honeybees began more than a decade ago, inspired by a deep curiosity about the natural world and a commitment to working in harmony with plants, pollinators, and people. She founded Sonoma County Bee Company in 2019, where she practices natural beekeeping and creates value-added hive products ranging from infused herbal honey and beeswax candles to apothecary goods infused with herbs.

With a background in culinary arts and herbal medicine, Candice brings a unique perspective to beekeeping—bridging the worlds of agriculture, ecology, and wellness. She is passionate about showing beekeepers how to transform hive byproducts like wax and propolis into practical and income-generating products.

Her work in Kenya focuses on exchange: sharing knowledge about value-added products and sustainable beekeeping practices, while learning from the wisdom and resilience of Kenyan beekeepers. She believes in empowering local communities with tools, skills, and ideas that can open new economic opportunities and strengthen the connection between bees, people, and the land.
