Kimber Hershberger
Co-Founder, Director of Education
Kimber Hershberger has traveled to Kenya with BEEK four times. She taught 3rd grade in State College for 25 years and has been a science education instructor for Penn State. Kimber helped to write the elementary science curriculum for State College schools and works as a science mentor for elementary teachers. Her role for BEEK is to plan lessons that engage students in active learning with an emphasis on nature. She had written books in both English and Swahili and copies of the books are published and given to students to take home.
